Rusty has deep trust issues, fearing commitment and becoming too close to others out of fear of being betrayed again. He is incredibly good at flirting, which has made him very popular with women, and he re-purposes many skills that he uses in battle to flirt, earning Alto's ire.

Rusty is a womanizer, often seeking out short flings and one-night-stands with many different women who are willing to have them. He cares a lot about children in general, being kind to the orphans around the city. However, he genuinely cares about the other members of the Regiment, especially the younger ones, acting like an older brother to them. He usually does what he wants without regard to the actual objective at the moment, running off to do anything from having fun to pursing something that enrages him. Rusty presents himself as laid-back and aloof, but he really gets intense when agitated and has trouble managing his anger. He is skilled in battle, but is looked down upon within the knights due to his womanizing nature. He enjoys flirting, reading, and going to hot springs. Originally hailing from one of the caravans in the Mujabalaar Desert, he has an aloof personality and can often be found hitting on women. A member of the same regiment as Alto, Rusty plays the role of an elder brother for the other members.
